This is my A2 Media Blog where I had to create a trailer for a movie genre of my choice, I chose Thriller. This blog shows all my research and planning whilst creating my trailer and all the changes I made throughout until I finally created the final piece - Silent Students.

Font Styles - Old

For the Title of my film I have explored various different fonts to feature as the title for my film poster. I chose fonts that I decided were more edgy and had a 'thriller look' to them. To decide which font to chose I ask my fellow media students and the most popular choice was 'Dark Half BTN' with comments such as 'font looks like blood dripping'. - 21/01/2015

As you can see below, unfortunately a majority of the font styles, including the one I originally chose to be my final choice, were deleted from the school computers therefore meaning I could no longer use it. This led me to have to find a new font style that was still current, this can be found in 'Font Styles Updated'. - 08/05/15

Outfit planning

For my trailer I had to decide whether I wanted to have a proper uniform or normal clothes. My first decision was to use a uniform as I think it made the trailer more creepy and old-fashioned. However I then decided I wanted to use normal clothes, this gave the trailer a more modern feel and I also found there was not enough uniforms in the school so not all my actors would be able to wear them. The use of everyday clothing makes the trailer more relatable as a massive number of sixth forms of colleges allow everyday clothing, and my actors are both of sixth form/college age.
